Reactions
Channel Magic. The homunculus delivers a spell you cast that has a range of touch. The homunculus must be within 120 feet of you.
A small hand prosthesis made of brass and steel, with several small openings through which gears and other moving mechanical parts are visible. Small hatches on the side hide the limbs and string of a small hand crossbow with the tip of the bolt sticking out of the casing just behind the main joint. Its finger arrangement is rather exotic, having two thumbs with three fingers between them, the middle one being slightly longer than those flanking it. The fingers and the casing are mainly made of brass, however the fingertips are steel-capped. Strong metal wires can be seen through the joints. On top of the 2nd and 4th knuckle two small azure blue lenses can be seen, which appear to be some sort of seeing device. A large Gem is embedded in the casing, held by small steel bars and rivets, a slight blue glow can be seen emitting from it. When in its flight configuration small wings similar to those of canary sprout from its underside, flapping with considerable speed, it also extends a small tail constisting of seven articulated metal plates which resemble bird feathers.
The homunculus is friendly to you and your companions, and it obeys your commands.
In combat, the homunculus shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the homunculus can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge.
The homunculus regains 2d6 hit points if the mending spell is cast on it. If you or the homunculus dies, it vanishes, leaving its heart in its space.
