Spellcasting. The archon casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components & using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 15, +7 spell attack bonus):

  • At will: detect evil and good
  • 3/day each: aid, continual flame,

    protection from evil and good

  • 1/day each: commune, locate creature, scrying (as an action)


Aura of Menace. As long as the archon doesn't have the incapacitated condition, each creature of the archon's choice that starts its turn within 20 feet of the archon must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature has the frightened condition until the start of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature is immune to all archons' Aura of Menace for 24 hours.

Cleaving Dive. If the archon moves at least 20' straight toward a creature & then hits it with an armblade attack on the same turn, that target takes an additional 10 (3d6) radiant damage. If the attack reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target must pass a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or be instantly killed & their corpse cut in half.

Flyby. The archon doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

Improved Critical. When the archon makes an attack roll, a 19-20 on a d20 is a critical hit.

Actions

Multiattack. When the archon takes the attack action, it can make two armblade attacks.

Armblade. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, 5' reach, one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 7) slashing damage & 10 (3d6) radiant damage.

Teleport. The archon teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, to an unoccupied space it can see within 120 feet of itself.
