Traits

A creature reduced to 0 hit points by the spindle’s attacks does not die but instead falls into an enchanted sleep. While in this sleep, the creature is stable and does not require food, water, or air.


Actions

Needle Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: ( 2d4 ) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or fall asleep for 1 minute. The target wakes if it takes damage or another creature uses an action to rouse it.

Thread Lash. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30 ft., one target.
Hit: The target must succeed on a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by shadowy threads for 1 minute. While restrained, the target takes 10 ( 3d6 ) slashing damage at the start of its turn. A restrained target can make a DC 10 Strength saving throw at the end of each of its turns, freeing itself on a success.


Bonus Actions

Lure: Once per day, the spindle can emit a faint, alluring hum that compels creatures within 30 feet to approach. All creatures in the area must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or move toward the spindle and attempt to touch it on their next turn.


Reactions

Curse of Eternal Slumber: If a creature comes into contact with the spindle’s point—whether accidentally or deliberately—they must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or fall into an enchanted sleep for 1d4 rounds. While a creature is under the spindle's curse, their mind creates a nightmare generated by the spindle: they must confront their worst fear.
