Create a half-buried trap made of a rib cage that lays in wait. Once set, it becomes nearly invisible and requires an Investigation (Intelligence) check against your spell save DC to see. Upon being stepped on by a small or larger creature the trap triggers. The creature who triggered the trap must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 1d6 piercing damage and their movement speed is reduced to 0 until the end of their next turn.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
