Make a ranged Spell Attack, dealing 3d8 Lightning Damage on a successful hit, preventing the chosen target from taking Reactions until the start of your next turn. Even if you miss, an arcing connection between you and the target is established as the lightning arc is a continuous beam emitted from your hand.   On each of your subsequent turns, you can use a Bonus Action to either deal 1d8 Lightning damage to the target automatically, even if the first attack missed or pull them up to 15 feet towards you. Both options prevent the target from taking Reactions once again until the start of your next turn. The spell ends if the target is ever outside the spell's range or if it has Total Cover from you.
