Bounty Hunter

Bounty Hunting is a complicated profession, and not many people are suited for it. If you choose the path of the Bounty Hunter, be prepared for people to see you differently than you see yourself. Many will say you are an outlaw, a murderer even. Jeleaous officials will say you shouldn't exist and that they could do their job better without you. That's wrong, of course.   Bounty Hunters bring escaped criminals back to justice, stop murderers everybody else couldn't or was too afraid to, kill monsters terorising a town - but all of it only for the right price.

Features

How to find Bounties

You can go to towns big enough and get bounties from the town hall with your symbol. In smaller towns and villages, tavernkeepers may also have bounties for you, though not always.

Bounty Hunter Guild Member

You can become a member of the Bounty Hunter Guild. This gives you a few advantages.   To get into the Guild you must have a certain amount of bounties under your belt already, be sponsored by an existing member, and get through Initiation - a phase in which you are given jobs through a contact you must complete to their satisfaction to become an official member. You must also pay a 250 Silver upfront fee.   Through a Guild Contact you will get a steady stream of bounties - some only available through the Guild. You can also sponsor people to get into Initiation.   You may find a Guild-Run tavern in bigger cities where you can get lodging and food at a reduced price. In these taverns, you may also find people to help you - for a price - and Guild-specific jobs.   As a member of the guild you must pay 10% of every bounty you make to the guild, even those not given to you through a contact. In Initiation this fee is 20%

Suggested Characteristics

Bounty Hunters aren't viewed kindly by many people. Many say they are outlaws or even murderers But they themselves view themselves as keepers of the law, who only kill those that have committed a crime heinous enough to be placed as a bounty. Most bounty hunters have a reason for joining the guild, maybe it's a family thing, maybe you want to get revenge on someone, maybe your culture is centered around hunting, maybe you are a true believer in the law, maybe you just want money and you're good at finding and catching people.
