Overview & Creation

A Essence User is tied heavily to a certain life essence. This allows them to tap into it and summon a weapon that their life essence has decided for them as well as a special ability. These are heavily tied with the persons up bringing.


Class Features

1st Level:   Life Essence, When not wearing any armour you can add your wisdom modifier to your AC.   Fighting Style, choose a fighting style.   2nd Level:   Essence Healing, As a bonus action on your turn your essence can heal you 1d10 + Essence User Level. This can be used once per long rest.   3rd Level:   Weapon Affinity, Depending on your essence and your upbringing you are able to summon a essence weapon. This weapon can differ, but if you roll a 19-20 you crit. This weapon lasts 1d4 + Essence User Level turns. it ends on that number rolled turn. It will shatter when the time is up. You can use this once per long rest.   4th Level:   Ability Score Improvement   5th Level:   Essence Ability, Depending on your essence and upbringing your essence grants you a special ability. This can differ, but you can use it twice per long rest   6th Level:   Ability Score Improvement.   7th Level:   Weapon Affinity Improved, Your Essence Weapon now crits on a roll between 18-20, as well as the weapon now lasts 1d4 + Essence User Level.   8th Level:   Ability Score Improvement.   9th Level:   Essence Break, While in combat when you take a hit you can shatter your essence causing you and your opponent to take one 1d10 + your Essence User Level Piercing Damage. After using this move you can't use any of your Essence Abilities until you short Rest. You can use this ability once per Long Rest   10th Level:   Weapon Affinity Improved, weapon now lasts 1d6 + Essence User Level. As well as your weapon now does an extra 1d4 Damage.   11th Level:   Essence Ability Improved, Your Essence Ability is improved in someway (ask your DM)   12th Level:   Ability Score Improvement   13th Level:   Essence Break Improved, When you shatter your essence your able to retain some of it. Everything you use with your essence after you use this move is halved until you take a short rest.   14th Level:   Ability Score Improvement   15th Level:   Weapon affinity Improved, weapon now lasts 1d6 + Essence User Level. As well as your weapon now does an extra 2d4 Damage.   16th Level:   Ability Score Improvement   17th Level:   Essence Healing Improved, You can now do Essence Healing twice per long rest   Essence Break Improved, You can now full regather your essence when you shatter it aswell as use it twice per long rest. However on the second time you won't be able to use your essence abilities until you take a short rest.   18th Level:   Weapon affinity Improved, weapon now lasts 1d8 + Essence User Level. As well as your weapon now does an extra 3d4 Damage.   19th Level:   Ability Score Improvement   20th Level:   Essence Ability Improved, Your Essence Ability is improved in someway (ask your DM)
