Adaptive: You start with no skills or proficiencies, and don't gain any naturally as you level up. Instead, your DM decides to give you skills and proficiencies based on your actions, and occasionally gives you random proficiencies during 'moments of enlightenment'.

Subclasses are simple renames of the class given at the DMs discretion once one reaches level 5 (or after leveling up 3 times, if starting at lvl 3 or above) based on the character's actions.
