Ethereal Sight. The banshee can see 60 feet into the Ethereal Plane when it is on the Material Plane, and vice versa. Possess (Recharge 5-6)The banshee targets one incapacitated humanoid within 5 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 13 Charisma saving throw or be possessed by the banshee. The banshee now controls the body but doesn't deprive the target of awareness. The banshee can't be targeted by any attack, spell, or other effect, except ones that turn undead, and it retains its alignment, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. It otherwise uses the possessed target's statistics.

The banshee enters the Ethereal Plane from the Material Plane, or vice versa. It is visible on the Material Plane while it is in the Border Ethereal, and vice versa, yet it can't affect or be affected by anything on the other plane.
Ethereal Counter. When a creature within 5 feet of the Banshee Matron misses it with a melee attack, the Banshee Matron can use its reaction to make an Incorporeal Touch attack against that creature. Spectral Evasion. When targeted by an attack, shift partially into the ethereal plane using a reaction to make the attack miss.
The Banshee Matron is often encountered in places of profound grief and tragedy, such as forgotten graveyards, ancient battlefields, or abandoned ruins. It lingers in areas where the echoes of past sorrows still resonate, drawing strength from the residual pain and anguish. Its presence infests these desolate and haunted locations, serving as a relentless reminder of the darkness that clings to the past.
