Brave. Perpher has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.   Lucky. When Perpher rolls a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, he can reroll the die. He must use the new result, even if it is a 1.   Nimble. Perpher can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than his.   Stout Resilience. Perpher has advantage on saving throws against poison.   Keen Smell. Perpher has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.   Shapechanger. Perpher Forefound can use his action to polymorph into a lion-humanoid hybrid or into a lion, or back into his true form, which is humanoid. His hitpoints are maintained between forms. Any equipment he is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. He reverts to his true form if he dies.

Actions

Multiattack. Perpher makes two melee attacks.   Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.   Heavy Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, range 100/400 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d10) piercing damage.   Leadership (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). For 1 minute, Perpher can utter a special command or warning whenever a nonhostile creature that he can see within 30 feet of him makes an attack roll or a saving throw. The creature can add a d4 to its roll provided it can hear and understand Perpher Forefound. A creature can benefit from only one Leadership die at a time. This effect ends if Perpher Forefound is incapacitated.

Parry. Perpher adds 2 to his AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, he must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

He has cat-like irises, tanned skin, long braided ginger hair and thick beard. He wears scrappy plate armour over a dark gambeson. He wields a cheap claymore greatsword and heavy crossbow. All of his equipment is enchanted to shift to match his scale and body. He are adorned with ritual scarification across their whole body (including the face). When he transforms, surface changes spread from his scars and the internal changes occur as a rapid series of violent shifts.
