This beautiful mithral chain is surprisingly light and small, while also being deceptively long. The chain is bound to a metal bracelet and ends with three razor sharp jagged claws that open and close at the wearer's will. While attuned to, the claw obeys it wielder to its fullest and can be used to both lock onto objects, creatures and structures, but also drag them to the wearer.
In the hands of a creature who has attuned to the animated chain claw, it is a magical spiked chain that grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. The spiked chain deals 1d6 piercing damage (but you can choose to not deal damage with it on a hit). The chain has a range of 30 feet and it has the thrown property.
Grapple. You can use the chain claw to grapple enemies, and you have advantage when you do so. A grappled creature can move, but only closer to you. When you are grappling a creature in this way, it does not use up a hand for you, but you can not use the chain claw unless you unhook the grappled creature. A grappled creature can as part of its movement attempt to break free from your grapple by making a Strength (Athletics) check against yours. If it is one size larger than you, it has advantage, and each size after gains a cumulative +5 to its check.
Reel. Once per turn, as part of an attack you make with the animated chain claw, you can force the creature to make a Strength (Athletics) check against you or be reeled 30 feet towards you. If the creature is one size larger than you, it has advantage, and each size after gains a cumulative +5 to its check.
