Requiem

Requiem is a runeblade, which can be infused with magical power via runes. Only one known blacksmith can attach these runes, and it is the centaur that made it: Telsi Rageforged. The runes have to be smithed onto the blade in the Storm Forge in the city of Remia. Requiem is the conduit of Alcides; only through Alcides may you wield his might. The heat from the Storm Forge never leaves this blade, keeping it constantly warm to the touch. This heat fuels the Rage of Alcides. The blade is made from Hadram, an incredibly rare and special metal only found in the Storm Rift. There are two gems, once both sides of Requiem are forged together, one is the Rage of Alcides, which is a gem that can only be won in honorable combat with a person of Alcides' choosing. The second is a fine opal - one so clear that it can reflect the inner workings of a person's soul. Requiem is a sentient weapon and has a particular thirst for carnage. She will chastize if the wielder backs from a fight or shows a lack of courage or strength. She also requires abstinence to allow clear thoughts for battle, daily prayer to Alcides, and demands that the wielder's hair must not be cut.
