Upon activation and specification of a target within range of the device, a swarm of nanobots are released from the bot, powered by energy taken from the inserted battery, and fly to the designated target, forming a protective bubble around them for 6 seconds. While the protective bubble is present around the designated target, they receive a +3 bonus to their AC. At the end of the 6 seconds (the start of your next turn), the nanobots explode, causing the loss of the bonus AC and 3d6+1 force damage dealt to the designated individual.

At higher levels: When supercharged, for each level above first, the damage increases by 1d6. In addition, for every two levels above first (starting at the third power level), the AC bonus is increased by 1.
