Upon placing a magnifying glass in the barrel of the machine, it begins to spin up with a bright light inside of the barrel. Upon release, the light shines through the magnifying glass in a very concentrated ray which is 5-foot-wide and 60-foot-long. Each constitution caught in the ray must make a CON saving throw. On a failed save, they take 6d8 radiant damage and are blinded for one round. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't blinded.
Undead creatures have disadvantage on the saving throw.
You may fire a new ray of light as an action on any successive turn for the duration of the effect.
In addition, for the duration of the effect, the machine gives off a brilliant radiance, shedding bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30-foot radius.
