Paladin Fighting Styles

When a paladin chooses a fighting style, they may also select two options from the following table.

Defense Dueling Great Weapon Fighting Protection
No Opening
  • Reaction: An enemy attacks you
  • Your armor class increases by 3 until the start of your next turn
  • Recharge: 5-6
Fantastic Flourish
  • Bonus Action
  • If you have hit a target that you have marked this turn, you may mark an additional target within 25 ft.
  • Recharge: 5-6
Cleave
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • Strikes all targets in front of the character, range is based on the weapon used
  • Recharge: 5-6
Divine Challenge
  • Passive
  • Modifies compelled duel
  • The target is marked. If it attacks a target that is not you, it takes radiant damage equal to (3 + Charisma modifier)
Bolstering Strike
  • Passive
  • Your attacks grant you temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier
Hamstring
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • Slows target until end of next turn
Dance of Steel
  • Passive
  • After making an attack, you can shift 5 ft. as a free action
Martyr's Blessing
  • Reaction: an adjacent ally is hit by an attack
  • The attack hits you instead
Stabilizing Strike
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • Your character must be bloodied
  • After hitting an enemy, you can immediately roll a hit die
Tide of Iron
  • Passive
  • When you hit an enemy with an attack you can push them 5 ft.
  • Afterwards, you may shift into the square they occupied
Brute Strike
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • Make an attack that deals an extra 1d10 damage
  • Recharge: 4-6
Denying Smite
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • After hitting an enemy, select one target within 25 ft. That enemy cannot attack that target until the end of your next turn
  • Recharge: 5-6
The Best Defense...
  • Reaction: You are hit by an attack
  • You make an attack against the enemy that hit you. If you hit, you deal extra radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier
  • Recharge: 5-6
Enfeebling Strike
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • target has -2 ac until the end of your next turn
  • Recharge: 5-6
Reaping Strike
  • Passive
  • Your missed attacks deal damage equal to your strength modifier
Covering Attack
  • Replaces one attack on your turn
  • After hitting an enemy, an adjacent ally can shift 10 ft. as a free action
  • Recharge: 5-6
