Overview & Creation

Some Rogues steal gold, others jewelry. Tome thief's steal knowledge, a Wizard fallen on hard times trying to steal a new spell to get by. a rogue uncovering secret documents. an outcast taking spells from the nearby mages college. all these people have one thing in common, a desire for more than gold.


Class Features

Spell thief At 3rd level your Ability to extract knowledge from the arcane allows you to now cast spells you have been in contact with. if you are in contact with a spellbook, or other magical inscription, you may now steal it. you may take spells with levels up to your spell thief level. and may take spells up to your allotted amount. absorbing a spell takes 30 minutes of being within 15 feet of a spell. Black market casting you may cast stolen spells, if the stolen spell is at a level above your retention level you lose all memory of the spell. if the spell is at or below your retention level you may choose to maintain its memory. you may only cast a retained spell once per short rest.   Cantrip retention At 4th level Any maintained cantrips may be cast repeatedly without a short rest   Arcane Finesse At 6th level you may now become instantly attuned to any weapon in your possession   Spell Absorption At 9th level if you have been effected by a spell, you may take 2 actions to steal the spell, you will not know if you are able to absorb the spell until after the 2 turns   Stolen Mastery At 12th level it takes only 10 minutes to absorb a spell by natural means   Enchanting thievery At 16th level you may transcribe stolen spells, you may also transcribe certain enchantments to another item   Omniscience At 20th level you may cast any spell below 9th level as if it were a cantrip
