The Time Chamber
Key prisms
If the DM decides that the group need to gather the Key Prisms, the door will remain locked until all 3 are retrieved and activated with the command words.NPCs
@Thal, the sorcerer who initiated the time loop, awaits the party. He reveals that the hourglass controls the loop and offers a choice: break the cycle by destroying it or claim the artifact and doom the people in the Forgotten Citadel.Destroying the hourglass
When the heroes try to attack the hourglass, the main foe appears and casts temporal shift on the hourglass until the fight is concluded, or until the dragon is convinced.Multiple loops
The dragon/wyrm itself is a timekeeper. It is aware of the loops and encounters with the party and will react in such. For example, if they attack the dragon/wyrm during its initial talk, it will ambush the party next times. If the party react to the ambush, it may be in a different location next time.Foes
Pick one of the following and sprinkle in some extra foes depending on the skill of the party. Further ideas you do are making sure the enemies (besides the time dragon) don't respawn, making sure they do multiple loops.Epoch Dragon CR: 18
